Bauchi State Ministry of Education has conducted a three-day training programme aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of teaching and learning in secondary schools across the state.
The training, according to the information officer, ministry for education Jalaludeen Usman spanned across various centers in the state, brought together 850 participants, including educators and education administrators, to focus on innovative practices in instructional delivery.
It said the training targeted three core objectives: designing engaging lesson plans, delivering effective instruction, and assessing students’ learning outcomes.
The statement added that participants were exposed to a wide range of learning content, including instructional design principles, effective teaching strategies, assessment and evaluation techniques, records keeping, production methods, and digital literacy.
It said the Interactive sessions featured dynamic group discussions and hands-on activities, allowing participants to apply newly acquired knowledge in practical settings.
At the closing ceremony, retired Directors of the Education Resource Center presented awards to several key figures in Bauchi State’s education sector.
Bauchi State Governor, Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed,was honored for his vision of transforming the Education Resource Center into a standardized world-class digital hub.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Education, the Permanent Secretary, the Advisor to the Governor on Education , and the Chairman of the Bauchi State Universal Basic Education Board (BASUBE) also received awards for their contributions to advancing the state’s education system.
